Montecristo Cigars

We strive to be the best cigar store on the Internet.  Our main retail cigar store is located in the suburbs of St. Louis, Missouri.
Our prices are generally 20% to 30% cheaper than many of our competitors.  We accomplish this in two ways:
1.  We look for the best deals from our suppliers and the pass the savings on to you, our valued customer.
2. We do not have to charge taxes like your local cigar shop (except for our friends in Missouri!).  Depending on where you live, you may be paying double for the same thing you can get from us.

Shipping in the USA and Canada is typically done by UPS.  Packages should arrive within 4 to 7 days on average (not including weekends & holidays) after you order.  Some orders are shipped by US Mail, but this is dependent on weight.

Montecristo is the name of two premium cigar brands produced in Cuba and the Dominican Republic. Established in 1935 by Alonso Menendez, the industry was run in Cuba but it had to shift productions to the Dominican Republic after the nationalization of all the cigar industries in Cuba. The brand was named after the famous adventure novel The Count of Monte Cristo which used to be the most popular books to be read out by the lector on the rolling floors. This choice of the cigar rollers in the factory gave the cigar brand the name Montecristo. After the revolution, two cigar brands continued production with the same name, Montecristo. Though separated now, both cigar brands have grown and flourished. The brands have become extremely popular and they are considered the best among cigar brands.

The Cuban Montecristo is one of the best known Cuban cigar brands, which creates cigars exclusively with selected tobacco leaves grown in the Vuelta Abajo region of Cuba, home to the finest tobaccos in the world. The brand produces cigars for Habanos, SA and is responsible for roughly one-fourth of its cigar sales throughout the globe. The Cuban Montecristo cigars are available in medium to full bodied flavors and there are several varieties you can choose from, number 4 being one of the more popular choices. Likewise, the Dominican Montecristo cigars are no less.
Established by the original owners of the brand, the Dominican Montecristo produces cigars for the American market. The golden Connecticut wrapper encases long filler tobaccos in the Dominican version with a medium bodied blend. The Dominican Montecristo cigars debuted in the United States in 1995 and have since become iconic cigars well known for their medium bodied flavors and moderate finish. You can take your pick from the many different varieties available.
